SWBS-L (SILVER) - Stainless Wave Board (Large Ripple)

Overview

The SWBS-L Stainless Wave Board is a rigid stainless-steel sheet with a rolled wave pattern in a silver finish. The wave is pressed into the sheet at the mill, so the face carries real three-dimensional relief that catches light differently from every angle — a luxury architectural skin that reads as jewellery-grade metal.

Standard sheet: 2440 × 1220 × 5 mm. Ripple profile: large ripple.

Why SWBS-L

• Real stainless steel. Mirror- or satin-polished stainless — not a metallic-printed composite.
• Pressed wave relief. The large ripple runs the length of the sheet — structural, not a print.
• Silver PVD finish — applied in a vacuum chamber so the colour is bonded to the steel, not a surface coating that can chip.
• Waterproof, fire-proof, and effectively permanent. Stainless will outlast the building around it.
• Fingerprint-forgiving. The relief pattern breaks up reflections so smudges and cleaning marks don't show as plainly as on flat mirror stainless.

Installation

Prepare a sound, flat, dry substrate. Fix with construction adhesive in a full-bed application, supplemented by double-sided architectural tape along the top edge for vertical installs. For overhead work, mechanical fixing through a concealed framing channel is recommended.

Cut with a fine-tooth jigsaw fitted with a metal-cutting blade — or have the supplier cut the sheet to size before shipping. A protective film is applied to the face at the factory — leave it on during cutting and fitting, and peel off last.

Care & handling

Store vertical and protected from scratches. Inspect each sheet for scratches, dents, or colour variation before installing — once mounted and the protective film is off, claims cannot be accepted. Clean with a microfibre cloth and a neutral stainless-steel cleaner; avoid chlorides, acids, and abrasive pads, which can damage the PVD finish.
