MTCL - WPC OUTDOOR CLIP

Overview

The MTCL is a stainless-steel outdoor slat clip — the hidden fixing that holds W4/W5 outdoor WPC slats onto a batten subframe without driving screws through the face. A single pack covers a typical outdoor slat run; size the quantity to the slat length and batten spacing.

Why MTCL

• Hidden fixing. No screw holes on the face — the finished wall reads as uninterrupted slats.
• Stainless steel. Corrosion-resistant; safe for exterior use where plated-steel clips would rust.
• Works with W4 and W5 profiles. Matched slot geometry.
• Fast install. Clip onto the batten → drive one screw through the clip flange → slide next slat into the clip tongue.

Installation

1. Build the batten subframe at ~600 mm centres.
2. Screw the first clip onto the first batten at the bottom of the run.
3. Slide the first slat into the clip's tongue.
4. Add the next clip on top of the slat's rear groove → screw it down → slide the next slat onto it.
5. Repeat up the wall.
6. End cap. Finish the top slat with a conventional face-fix screw under a cover trim.

Quantity

Plan for one clip per slat per batten — so for a slat over three battens, you need three clips per slat. A 50-piece pack typically covers ~8-10 m² of W4/W5 cladding. Order extras for odd ends and repairs.

Care & handling

Store in the original pack until ready to install. Stainless clips are corrosion-resistant but should still be kept dry before install. Inspect each clip before fixing — bent clips won't hold the slat securely.
